I had the same problem as two other reviewers. The ribs bind against the housing, so that when you install this, the pulley does not rotate. Also, the diameter was about 3 mm larger than spec. I went down to the local autoparts store and got a Gates pulley, which fit without binding. The car is a 2005 Buick Park Ave Ultra. I got this part on sale, a really its not worth the ten bucks to return it. Also, I bought it knowing full well that two other reviewers had problems. SO I bought my ticket and took my chances, as the saying goes.

In fairness, I also got two dayco tensioner pulleys that fit without a problem and two dayco serpentine belts which are really quiet, and I am really happy about that! I used these parts to replace the old parts on the supercharger loop (the car has 125K miles on it, but it still gets 27-31 MPG at 70 MPH, depending upon crosswind and temperature). I have 50 miles on the new serpentine loop, and will write a review of those parts after I do a 1K trip to LA and back in a couple of weeks.

This is great way to cut costs for a tensioner assembly. If the spring assembly is operating without binding, just replace the pulley and bearing. It's considerably cheaper.

Pully is slighlty lager but doesn't matter. dust sheild/washer does rub the ribs but dug right through when started. Must use OEM plastic bolt spacer inside new bearing. Not OEM but close enough.

Direct bolt on replacement. My belts are nice and quiet now. No reason to replace the whole assembly, save some $ and just replace the pulley.

The only issue with this part is that you cannot use the OEM dust shield when you install it. Other than that it bolted right on and is working.

Replaced as an OEM peice at first but had some clearance issues from the dust cover (washer). Per the instructions on the box if clearance was an issue, removed the dust cover (washer)and reinstalled. Works great and no more noise coming from the tensioner.

To replace this part I would refer to a Haynes repair manual for instructions on proper replacement of the specific pulley. The Haynes repair manual can be purchased at your local Advance Auto Parts store.
