Comments about CRC Disc Brake Quiet:
I hate noises, so I always add Brake quiet to my brake jobs as cheap insurance against unwanted noises.

Comments about CRC Disc Brake Quiet:
The product does work well, however, give it enough time to dry out before attempting to install it back. This stuff is super sticky, and would require brake clears to take it off your hands! when using the product make sure to disassemble the caliper, the brake pads and the various clips installed on both the brake pads and the caliper / shoes. each of these parts need to be cleaned properly using brake part clears ( with the exception of the rotor. don't apply the brake parts cleaned on the rotor ). than, apply the Disk Brake Quiet ( with a thick coat ), and wait for an hour or two. after the stuff is completly dries out, put it all back.

Comments about CRC Disc Brake Quiet:
Picked up some cheap [@] brake pads for my corolla. Came with shim plates that were embedded behind the pads. Unfortunately, brakes still squealed. So I took off the pads, and drenched the back of each pad with disc brake quiet. Even sprayed some on the cylinder edges of the brake pistons for good measure. The squealing was completely eliminated.

Comments about CRC Disc Brake Quiet:
Spray this on the back of the brake pads when you start the brake job, it will be ready to use by the time you need the brake pad. It keeps the brakes from chattering. I had a can for the last 10 years but lost it and had to buy another one. Well worth the money, very easy to apply. Works great.

Comments about CRC Disc Brake Quiet:
I've kept a can of this in the garage for years. One can is good for several installations. I've used it for new pad installs and once on some original pads that weren't worn out, but got noisy. It works. Put the pads on newspaper or cardboard to avoid sticky overspray on your garage floor. Spray the backs of the pads then start removing the caliper to avoid wasting time waiting for the chemical to dry.

Comments about CRC Disc Brake Quiet:
Bought this 'just in case' to hopefully eliminate any possible squeaking on my new brakes. So far, there are not squeaks, so I don't know if it wouldn't have had any, or if this is doing it's job. Either way, cheap insurance.

Comments about CRC Disc Brake Quiet:
I have changed quite a few pads/shoes over the years, but i had never used brake quiet before.....decided to try it in hopes of keeping the pieces from rusting/sticking and breaking down. the jury is still out at this point. advice is to spray the pads (the metal parts, not the actual pads) before you are ready to install b/c they need time to dry. CRC is a good brand as well.

A:
This CRC Disc Brake Quiet -part# 05017 has to be sprayed on the back of the non-shimmed disc pads when starting the brake job. It forms a water resistant, high-temperature film that absorbs noise while quieting squeaks and squeals. Specially formulated to dampen the vibrations that cause brake noise.
