Comments about CRC Disc Brake Quiet, 4 oz.:
I maintain 6 family vehicles and 4 of my neighbors rides, including sedans, trucks, SUVs, a Jeep, and a Corvette. I use this on every brake job and I've never had a single squeaky brake. It Works (even on Hondas, which can squeak easily if you don't do the job right). This stuff creates a thin, rubber-like barrier on the back of your brake pads and never fails to eliminate squeaks.
Completely agree other positive reviews here. And great tips written by DrPCFix below. To his points, I would add that if your rotors are in good shape (no warping/no pulsating pedal, not worn thin) and you decide not to buy new ones, then take some sand paper (any grit, but coarser is better) and rough up the surface of your rotors real good. Just do the shiny surface that contacts the brake pad, not the whole rotor - and do this to both sides of the rotor. Simply fold up the sandpaper and press hard with your palm or a small block of wood while scrubbing the rotor surface. This will cut through any 'glazing' on the rotor from the old brake pads and gives a cleaner, smoother finish for the new brake pads to wear-in, which will also reduce the chance of squeaky brakes.
And as mentioned, apply this stuff to the back of the new pads when you start the job so it's dry by the time you install them, or you'll end up smearing orange/pink stuff on your rotors, calipers, hands, etc. You just want it where it's supposed to be - on the back of the pads.
Great stuff - always works for me.

Comments about CRC Disc Brake Quiet, 4 oz.:
I did my front brakes a month ago and didn't use this, and didn't have a problem.
Then I did my rear brakes.
They worked just fine, but embarrassing to drive. Only on medium pedal pressure. Light to no pressure, or heavy pressure, no noise at all. Hold the pedal in on medium pressure, and those small calipers against the smaller pads would vibrate and howl like a banshee. The rears are far more susceptible to vibration.
After this $6 bottle of "Quiet Brake Juice", they are silent as a church mouse. And I have enough for several more sets of pads.
Lesson of the day: I will use the CRC Disc Brake Quiet from now on, front and back.

The secret to quiet brakes is to replace the rotors every time and to apply a thin film of disc brake quiet on the back of the pads. That and lubricating all the moving parts with silicone such as Permatex Ultra Disc Brake Caliper Lube.
Follow the directions, apply a thin film over the entire back and let it dry. Do this as soon as you start the job so that by the time you are ready to put in the new pads they will be dry and ready for reassembly.
If you put the pads in while still wet you will get this stuff over everything and have a messy job and it probably won't perform as intended.

Works great on all pads been using it for 24 years without a squeek. One ton trucks its great on and they wont squeek. I proved many mechanice wrong about that. They went with out using it and had to redo their brake job because of the squeeling noise they made and stopped when he re applied them with Disc Brake Quiet. Good Stuff for sure.
Comments about CRC Disc Brake Quiet, 4 oz.:
Just follow the directions. Don't put too much on, a little goes a long way.

I've been using this product for over 5 years. I like the way it forms a rubbery film on the backs of the pads, keeping away rust. Have not had any squealing on any brake jobs, from compact cars to large pickup trucks. I use this on every job, so I can't judge if squealing would have occurred on some of them without this coating, but I won't take the chance.
