I have been using CRC Brakleen since the 80's both as a professional mechanic, maintaing my own vehicles as well as a hobbyist. This product is excellent as an all-around cleaner and degreaser for just about anything. It is not only very effective for cleaning brake system parts but I have also used it on clutch parts and to spot clean areas in an effort to troubleshoot fluid leaks or even cleaning up after a repair. It even works great for knocking bees right out of the air, just don't get it in your eye!

The product works well and is priced right. I used the online site and saved 15%. Also, the staff in the store saved me a second trip to town by suggesting something I had forgotten for this brake job. That saved me 90 minutes travel time and $10 in gas.

Q:
Can this product be used to clean oil and deposits on the engine under the hood without damaging electrical and plastic connectors?? I have an oil leak and since the oil is everywhere it is hard to find the leak and I have seen people on line suggesting many methods to clean but I am bit concerned about damage to electrical systems when using water to clean.
