Product Features:
  • Unique TriShield technology actively protects against particles that build up in car engines with the most advanced sludge-fighting ingredients
  • Castrol GTX uses premium, custom-made additives and is the most advanced conventional oil available
  • Maximum protection against viscosity and thermal breakdown
  • Extreme detergency action helps prevent deposits
  • Exceeds API Service SM, SL, SJ and SH; ILSAC GF-4/GF-3/GF-2 for API Certified Gasoline Engine Oils; meets Energy Conserving Standards; GM6094M

Comments about Castrol GTX 5W-30 Conventional Motor Oil (5 Quart Jug):

Use GTX in my 1996 Honda Civic with 200k. I change my oil faithfully when the dash indicator says to and so far , knock on wood, the engine is still strong. Ordered online and it was ready when I went to the store. Couldn't be easier.

Side note : I think it would be a big help to others if you included what type of car you have. Just a thought.

Been using Castrol in all my vehicles for over 20 years now, and have never had any oil related issues. When the wife had a Honda, had our mechanic reset the valves after 150K+ miles, and he said the engine internals still looked brand new.

I've always changed my own oil, now I change oil for me and my SO. I've always used Castrol. Never had an engine problem, and I drive a 1992 Chevy K1500. Oil change every 4K miles and no problems.
