Comments about CARQUEST Wiper Motors Wiper Motor Pulse Board Module - New:

This pulse board is a direct replacement for the OEM board. Operates just like the original from the factory. You will need to pick up some dielectric grease to lube the contacts when installing - they don't tell you that at the store.

Comments about CARQUEST Wiper Motors Wiper Motor Pulse Board Module - New:

I really can not believe that I waited this long to make this repair. I have been irritated by intermittent wiper issues for quite some time. Everything from the washer bottle pump operating only intermittently, wipers that always turn on, but do not necessarily stop when turned off. Wiper speed that does not match the control setting nor does it perform intermittently when set to that setting. Wipers that stop in the middle of the windshield when switched off. You name it. This simple 3 screws swap solved all of those problems. To be perfectly honest I am a big fan of using only AC Delco parts, but the AC Delco pulse board for this truck was over 3 times the price of the CARQUEST unit and there is no way it performs any better. I choose CARQUEST over BWD due to the reported issue with BWD when initially set to pulse. This CARQUEST unit does not display that bad behavior and not the truck operates just like new. Now the only issue that I am having with my 20 year old S10 is that I am running out of simple little things that need fixing. I know GM curses the day they built these things because they last forever and now the replacement parts for most DIY items are quite affordable.

Comments about CARQUEST Wiper Motors Wiper Motor Pulse Board Module - New:

Really could not be much easier to repair this problem. Simply remove the cover (three screws)to the wiper motor housing. Unplug the wiring harness from your existing motor. Use a small screwdriver of knife to gently pry the old board loose from the housing. Once the board is removed, you will likely see excess grease where the contacts are located. Clean it up a bit for the new install. Snap the new board in place, re-install the new cover (provided)and plug it in. Job is now complete. This is a VERY easy repair (no more than 10 minutes) and does not require any other hassles like having to remove the cowl intake or wiper arm linkage or the wiper motor.

Comments about CARQUEST Wiper Motors Wiper Motor Pulse Board Module - New:

Picked up in store direct fit replacement to my vehicle 1995 Chevy S10 Blazer, work's great no delay, no stopping in the middle of the windshield like the previous one did a factory module. Looked on You tube found out the module was the problem with my wipers being intermittent, not working when very hot outside or if it was raining outside. Nothing visibly wrong with previous module no broken solder anywhere threw old on in trash used codes got it for almost $10 off normal price.

Hi Lucas, glad to help you! The wiper motor pulse board on your 1998 GMC Jimmy should be located on the wiper motor under the plastic cover. To get more specific information on the location of this part, I would recommend purchasing a Chilton or Haynes Repair Manual for your vehicle, not only will it show the location and also explain how to install, but you'll find it handy for many more projects on your vehicle. The exact repair manual part number for your vehicle 24071.

              A:

Yes, the Wiper Motor Pulse Board Module could possibly be the problem. However, without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis.
