          • Q:

why does the motor stop the wipers in the upright position when the crank arm was in stalled in the same position as the one removed.
Asked on 2/9/2016 by Bob from Nokomis Fl.

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

Hi Bob, happy to help you! A common problem with the wipers stopping straight up is that a metal tab at the wiper motor assembly gets bent out of shape due to the weight of the snow. Acts as part of a wiper park sensor. It should be a 90 degree or square form. You'll have to remove the wipers and the plastic trim to get at it. If you still face the same problem, I would suggest that you take your vehicle and get it thoroughly checked by a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis.

          • Q:

Is this wiper motor equipped to handle a washer pump or can it not be used with this motor. I have wiper motor that mist and has delayed motion. Can I use this motor?

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

Hi Cuda! Since you didn't mention the specific vehicle, it's hard to tell for sure. To give you the correct information I would need the year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle.

You can check the resistance through it with a digital multimeter is you can find the specs of what the ohms should be.

The difficulty level of installing the wiper motor will depend on your automotive experience. I suggest visiting your local Advance Auto Parts store and purchasing Haynes Repair Manual for your specific vehicle. The book will direct you step by step with detailed instruction on how to remove and install any part on your vehicle.
