    When I took it out of the box the spring was detached. I re-installed the spring replaced the regulator and and poped out of track.

      preload spring was loose in pkg. How do I preload the spring during installation?

        Hello Ray, happy to help you with your question. The spring will usually be a little loose and once the motor is installed it will be the required tension on the spring.
