Comments about CARQUEST Window Reg Power Window Regulator and Motor Assembly:

Had a catastrophic failure in the right rear motor in my wife's Escape Hybrid... First thing to go wrong with this car since new. Found taht our local Advance had one in stock and the price was right so I checked on it and picked it up the next day. Installation tips: First Try to get the window lowered to where you can reach the two nuts then I uded a thin block of wood to hold it up during the removal and installation process. Only thing I would mention is to check the part before leaving the store... the top guide on the first one I bought was broken and in pieces. had to drive 12 miles to another store to get one.

        • Q:

Is the cable that goes from one end of the rear window motor to the other end one continous cable or does it connect separately at both ends? I have the motor out and it looks like one end is still connected and the other is obviously disconnected.

            A:

With out the presence of your vehicle we cannot provide you with a 100% answer. I recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
