Time will tell on how it preforms, the manufacture made these so flimsy, the plastic slides break. I hope this is the last one I have to install.

                      A:

No, Kevinator, this CARQUEST Window Reg Power Window Regulator and Motor Assembly (Part No. 741-649) does not fit the left rear window on your 2000 Dodge Durango 4.7L. We do have an exact rear left power window regulator available online for your vehicle and the part number is 741-598. Please enter your vehicle on our website and search for this part to check the fitment.

It says front left. Can this also be used for passenger side? If not, where would I find it? Because I cannot find the one on this website that goes onto the passenger window.

WE DON'T THINK WE NEED THE MOTOR, BECAUSE WE HEAR THE MOTER, WHEN WE PUSH THE BOTTOM. BUT WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WAS THE REGULATOR, SO DO WE HAVE TO BUY ONE WITH THE MOTOR? 2002 DODGE

                    • CUSTOMER CARE

                      A:

It is not necessary to replace the motor when replacing the power window regulator. I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem. I opened up my door after my window fell and scratched my head. My mechanic did not call me back. I found a video on youtube for my 2003 Dakota which showed how to remove the door panel (phillips head), the wires to disconnect for the mirror, door locks and windows, and undo the door latch and lock, and remove the water barrier. Those were the hardest parts. The video also showed to have the window down to unbolt it from the bracket (10mm socket). Easy job and I am far from a mechanic. Dealer wanted over $225 just for the part, but I already knew they were far less expensive when I was looking for a how to video. If I can do it, so can you.

                      A:

Well this all depends on the skill level of whoever is removing or replacing the part. Some may have a harder time than others who have experience. I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.

The Haynes repair manual has absolutely NOTHING of value when it comes to the electronic windows. If you want to double check, borrow it from the library - otherwise, save yourself the money and google directions.

I just purchased this part and installed it but the window is not going all the way up. Is there something I can do to adjust the window on the track? Does the 2000 Dakota use a sash system for this type of adjustment?

                    Thanks,
