Comments about Carquest Wearever Master Cylinder - New:

The first MC I bought bench bled fine, but the rear brakes would not pressurize. Front brakes were great. Eventually discovered the port for the rear brakes was not threaded properly. Exchanged MC for a replacement. Bench bled the MC, installed and discovered the rear brake port, again was not threaded correctly. Normally I would chase the threads, but on a new purchase I do not feel I should need to this and would probably void the warranty. Returning MC and looking elsewhere.

Comments about Carquest Wearever Master Cylinder - New:

For some reason this master cylinder makes the front brakes drag. I fixed the problem by adding washers between the booster and master cylinder. For some reason when it's bolted up like the original it pushes the piston in and makes the brakes drag and overheat.

I also replaced the hoses, calipers, pads chasing this problem.

My guess is that the fluid return ports in the bore are drilled in the wrong place.
