The master cylinder was ordered on line and arrived on the scheduled date. The master cylinder had bounced around in the box it came in even though it had been packed in an over-box including bubble wrap. It was assembled with some brake fluid in it which leaked out the cover due to the bouncing in shipment. Surprisingly, the nipples needed to bleed this master cylinder were not included with it and I had to search around to find a bleeding kit which added a day to the job. The bleeding procedure was simple and the master cylinder went into position with no problem and is working well. The only negative about the whole job was the lack of the bleed nipples, which was not mentioned in the catalog listing. Overall. I am satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to a friend.

like all their parts. AAP, needs to rethink about using this company for parts, I'M returning this part and going up the
Street where I hope I can get parts that work. I've been burned for the last time. So long AAP.

Website said new but when I got home to put it in, found a "reman" mark on the reservoir. It works but was wanting a new part.

Comments about Carquest Wearever Master Cylinder - New:

Original master blew out the reservior seals and this beats rebuilding and wondering what will go wrong or getting a rebuilt and it fades because of a sloppy fix.
Easy to follow directions and quick purge to prep the master for installation. no problems with fit or bad millings/connections. Would buy it again if I have to. Expect it to last another ten years.
Quick and easy fix this time!!!

Spend the money and buy new instead of rebuilt. Bench bleed and installed in under 30 minutes and works better than junk rebuilt one

Comments about Carquest Wearever Master Cylinder - New:

My best friend was driving his truck and started hearing alot of air from the brake paddle area, so he called me to listen. I know it was between the master cylinder and the brake booster,so we started with the cylinder. It was easy to remove the one from the truck, we had to bench bleed the new one which was surprisingly easy to do. It was installed easy but that was not the problem. Yes it was the brake booster, yes we brought it, but that was a lot more work had to take out the steering column, we did it are I did it, yes that was the problem. I just wish all the stores had all the products, I had to drive to two stores about 15 miles apart.

good quality oem style master cylinder for the price of a re-manufactured can't beat that and was very easy install... the only bad thing is it didn't come with bleader screws to bench bleed but other than that was a easy install and a very good quality part for half the price of all of the other master cylinders. order online and pick up in stores there always running a promo code that makes it cheaper than just running to the store and picking it up... so over all I give it a 5/5 for quality and price
