Carquest Wearever Drum Brake Wheel Cylinder

Part No. WCA37982 Warranty Details

See if this part fits a specific vehicle.

Check Vehicle Fit

Direct replacement Wheel Cylinders are designed to fit specific vehicle applications and to ensure a proper fit every time. Normal wear may cause piston seals to leak. Corrosion and pitting can also occur inside Wheel Cylinders as moisture builds up in the brake fluid. A leaky Wheel Cylinder can be dangerous to the driver, causing gradual softening of the brake pedal and creating brake pull to one side.

Product Features:
  • All Wheel Cylinders are made with high quality EPDM rubber cups and boots for long lasting performance
  • Wheel Cylinder bores are surface tested to ensure an optimum sealing surface for the pressure cups
  • Due to repair time and cost, it is more desirable to replace instead of repair Wheel Cylinders
  • Recommended replacement is suggested when servicing drum brake

Comments about Carquest Wearever Drum Brake Wheel Cylinder:

Called around. Store in town didn't have it, so had to drive 20 miles (not a big hardship - got it the same day). Was cheaper to buy online and pick it up in the store than it would have been to just go to the store and buy it. Can't figure out why. Had trouble getting the old one off - years of rust on fasteners. Once it was all clear, installation was easy, and the car is back to normal. This seems to have solved a long-time slow brake fluid leak problem that recently got worse (until now, I couldn't see where the fluid was coming from). All in all, fit and finish good, excellent price. Would recommend. Can't see any reason to pay more for this part anywhere else.
