Carquest Wearever Drum Brake Wheel Cylinder

Part No. WCA37750 Warranty Details

Check Vehicle Fit

Direct replacement Wheel Cylinders are designed to fit specific vehicle applications and to ensure a proper fit every time. Normal wear may cause piston seals to leak. Corrosion and pitting can also occur inside Wheel Cylinders as moisture builds up in the brake fluid. A leaky Wheel Cylinder can be dangerous to the driver, causing gradual softening of the brake pedal and creating brake pull to one side.

Product Features:
  • All Wheel Cylinders are made with high quality EPDM rubber cups and boots for long lasting performance
  • Wheel Cylinder bores are surface tested to ensure an optimum sealing surface for the pressure cups
  • Due to repair time and cost, it is more desirable to replace instead of repair Wheel Cylinders
  • Recommended replacement is suggested when servicing drum brake

Comments about Carquest Wearever Drum Brake Wheel Cylinder:

These Drum Brake Wheel Cylinder by Tru-Torque does not fit. However, with a little grinding of the bottom part of the casing will make them work. If you buy these cylinders, you MUST have a grinder to install them! Please, be patient and take your time grinding them--do not over grind, you just need to take a little ridge off. Just compare it to the cylinder that was removed.

      Bad Fitting

      By

      Verified Buyer

      Pros

      • It Works

      Cons

      • Casting Too Big
      • Difficult To Install

      Best Uses

      • Replacement

Comments about Carquest Wearever Drum Brake Wheel Cylinder:

The casting is too large to slip between the hub and the brake backplate. They are slightly larger than the originals making them impossible to get in place without removing more parts than need be. Or grind off the lower edge a little.

Originals came out and went back in perfectly fine (I reinstalled one to check how easy it went in when I had the difficulty with the replacement).

I had to take a grinder and shave off a bit of the bottom of the casting in order to get them installed.
      Very poor fit.
