I'm a brake engineer, have been in the industry since '93. I know how bad some Chinese parts are, so I'm always skeptical. These parts actually looked pretty good, didn't look like they suffered any core shift in the casting process, and seemed to be pretty well balanced. With new ceramic pads, they are quiet and effective. I hope they last as long as the OE parts (58k miles).

The existing rotors were the same product, and warped after 12,000 miles. Thinking I just had a bad lot, I purchased another set of these. This time, they warped in less than 6,000 miles. They are marked China, so no surprise there. OEM rotors lasted over 20,000 miles but are of course more expensive. I replaced these with Autozone Gold, and things have been fine at more than 8,000 miles. My driving habits or route have not changed. Getting the rotors replaced at the store is very painful, as clerks always try to blame me for driving through water or overtightening lug nuts.

Comments about Carquest Wearever Brake Rotor - Front:

I love these rotors. I actually bought the whole front set for my 10 Town and Country. I was wondering if they would fit properly or if I had to get a more expensive brand or something. NOPE perfect fit. The best part about the whole thing is, that was my first time ever doing rotors. I'm 43 and if you can get them off then these slide on smoother than what was on it. I brake so smooth and they are so quite. There was this one time when i was driving I heard a screech sound but I didn't hear it after that which makes me wonder if it was my mini van. No complaints this way. I'm sold, get them on sale if you can! Buy everything to get the speed perks.

Comments about Carquest Wearever Brake Rotor - Front:

Used to replace warped OEM rotors on a 2010 VW Routan. As many Caravan, Grand Caravan, and Routan owners can attest too, these vehicles warp rotors. So far so good. Will update review if I can after a few thousand miles. For the price and knowing that this may be a common replacement part it is the correct part of the job.

The main plus is the brake pedal and steering wheel don't shudder when stopping now. If you are experiencing this yourself. Get new rotors.

Heard some squeaking coming from the brakes and also had some break pulsing coming from warped rotors. Replace both and the immediately felt the difference and after 1 week still all is good. I think these are pretty run of the mill rotors but they did the job.

I replace my front rotors due to the existing one being warped. I was going to spend more to purchase the name brand rotors but they were out of stock. The Wearevers installed easily and eliminated all issues with shuddering during stops. They have held up with no issues for a month or so. If they continue to hold up well, I will purchase these in the future as the cost is less. I am pleased with the product.

I'm sorry I cannot tell you how thick the stock brake rotors are. The good news is that you may not need special tools to replace your rotors. Some vehicle makes require a torx wrench to remove brake calipers, but other than that no special tools
                      are needed.

OEM rotors can be turned but due to poor quality of the steel in most domestic car rotors I don't advise doing so. If You're replaceing front brakes replace the rotors too. In the case of rear rotors as long as there is no corrosion or scoreing you can replace them every other brake job or possibly longer
