Comments about Carquest Wearever Brake Rotor - Front:

This was a relatively "easy" change. The old rotors had rusted on and it was really difficult to remove.

If you're doing this for the first time, have a can of WD40 near. Also, when hammering the old rotor off, watch out for the knuckle (the big piece with two bolts on it). A few mis strikes can bend the knuckle enough that the caliper bracket will grind against the new rotor.

These rotors are great. I have not had any issues at all which is the way I like it. They have been installed now for several weeks. I replaced the brake pads at the same time. They feel like new.

I purchased a set of rotors for a 2001 Chevy pickup 6 months ago and they worked so well I bought this pair for my Mazda3. Easy installation, superb quality, and great price.

I'm happy to help, GoodnewsJ! I'm going to submit this for research to our content team as I feel this may be a typo. The material of most of our rotors is G3000 gray cast iron. This rotor is most likely made of G3000 gray cast iron. We appreciate you bringing these details to our attention and I will make sure that we have this corrected.

I am looking for the best rotor to avoid warping / pulsation. I am experiencing this with my current rotors and wish to avoid it when I install new on my next brake job. How does this brand fare?

              A:

This rotor has non-directional finish for less break-in time and reduced brake noise and a proper harmonic design which helps to reduce brake noise. Always use a torque wrench to tighten wheel bolts to the manufacturers' specifications to prevent pedal pulsation.
