Comments about Carquest Wearever Brake Rotor - Front:

Here's the deal with thses rotors, I had my mechanic replace the pads and rotors just under a year ago because they started to warp with only about 6-7000 miles on them.SInce they have a 2 yrs replacement warranty I am taking them back and buying the better rotors for $$.Don't cheat yourself or you too will be replacing in about a year or so. I sure hope that these new rotors last more than 7k miles!!! Good Luck

Comments about Carquest Wearever Brake Rotor - Front:

I had the same problem as stated in the previous post By Chris J. The backing plate has a series of small louvers for air flow - I suppose for cooling. The new rotors are slightly different than the old and rubbed on those louvers. I had to make some adjustments to the louvers for clearance. Not a big deal except that I didn't notice until I heard a scraping noise during the test drive. I had to disassemble everything and remove the rotors to figure out and correct the problem.

Had a few problems with these rotors

Comments about Carquest Wearever Brake Rotor - Front:

Ive done hundreds of brake jobs on mine and friends cars and never had a problem with equipment till now. The rotors for our 04 Nissan Murano must have been milled wrong by a little bit. After the install, the rotors rubbed on parts of the dust cover on the back or inside of the rotors. After assembly and during testing of the brakes I heard a wretched rubbing noise, and little to my satisfactionI had to take everything apart again. I quickly found the problem, compared the old rotors to the new ones and saw the variance in the milling. I took a hammer and some gentle persuading to bend the plate a little bit and put the rotors back on and everything worked fine. Any do it yourselfer trying to do this on their own may be up a creek if they use these rotors, but keeping an eye out for this issue and some ingenuity, and you should be fine. I have not contacted the store or manufacturer about this issue, as I really dont care and made it work just fine, but I could see someone getting very upset by this issue in the future.

My wife's Murano would vibrate when braking and at low speeds! I assumed it was a warped rotors. I installed the new ones, and they worked great! She said it brakes much better, and no more vibrations!
