This is the second set of brakes that I have put on my 2001 Grand Prix using this brand. Even running the first set to the point of metal on metal I still had good stoping power. They are easily installed on the car. I live in the country where there are deer, dogs, and other types of animals. So having a set of good brakes is needed and they havent let me down yet. I would recomend them to other people and will use the same brand on the rear set. They dont warp under heavy stopping i even installed them onto my moms car so yes i trust the stopping quality very much thank you.

Comments about Carquest Wearever Brake Rotor - Front:

It's a shame you have to spend top dollar to find rotors with at least the same wall thickness as the OEM rotors. Had I not been in a hurry I would have taken these back. That said for the price with coupon these were OK. If I were using them for a vehicle that gets driven more than my old beater Venture van I would have spent the cash for better.

Comments about Carquest Wearever Brake Rotor - Front:

so far have had no problems with rotors and very smooth stops but I went with brake pads that I thought would be good to use with these rotors but it would be nice to know what the manufacturer would recommend so that there are no problems in the future.

Took a chance and did not have these cut before installing. (A bodyman friend of mine says some people he knows cut the new rotors because many times they're not true from the factory.) These were just fine with no pulsating whatsoever. Just make sure to clean off the rust protective coating with brake cleaner prior to installing.

Lug holes are to big for studs, get movement in rotor when torque only to specs. if torqued to higher ft/pounds then all is well and locked up!

Comments about Carquest Wearever Brake Rotor - Front:

Rotors appeared to be good - fit was proper. They were slightly thinner than I expected - but I do not turn rotors - I replace. Only thing is a thinner rotor will warp easier than a thicker one - so we will find out.

                  Warped a little right away

Comments about Carquest Wearever Brake Rotor - Front:

they are an average set of rotors. they warped right away even though I try to break them in as directed. They are doing the job but nothing more. They are also rather noisy. I may be looking at doing more break work soon.
