Great when they aren't warped

First set I ever bought from Advance was warped, not really their fault though. Still, pretty decent.

Are these rotors mill-balanced (machined on edge of rotor)?

                  A:

I'm glad to assist, Curious! These Wearever Brake Rotors (Part No. YH145158) are not mill-balanced. Our brake rotors are engineered to meet or exceed original equipment standards and original equipment style rotors will not typically be a mill-balanced rotor.

Mill-balanced rotors are typically the high performance rotors, such as the DBA rotors. These rotors may not be available for all applications.

              • Q:

What is the rust resistant coating made of? Is it a coating just to protect the rotor during shipping that washes off when you clean the rotor, or is it a long lasting coating meant to protect the rotor for the life of the product?
Asked on 12/29/2013 by Gray from Chicago, IL

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

Great question! You are correct, the coating is to protect the rotor until installation on the vehicle, as at that time it is recommended to clean the rotor with brake parts cleaner.
