I installed a pair of these Wearever Brake Rotors on the front of my 2005 Camry LE along with a set of Wearever Platinum Premium Ceramic Brake Pads about a month ago. The job went smooth with easy fit and matched perfectly. As others have said, clean the rotors with brake cleaner before installation.

My Camry seems to have a rotor warping problem after about 10k miles so we will have to see how these rotors hold-up. However, so far they are a pleasant change to the braking vibration I experienced with the old rotors. These new rotors are providing a smooth and quiet braking experience.

Says "exact fit" for 1997 Toyota Avalon, but not even close. I was told this happens occasionally. Check diameter against your old one before you order. I always check part # against order, but that didn't help since it was the correct number. At least they admitted Wearever's error rate.

I returned 3 sets of these rotors before changing to Wagner brand. I could never get the vibration under braking to go away until I switched brands. Do not buy these unless you like changing rotors often.

They are what they are for the price. I was disappointed to see that they were only a couple millimeters thicker than the 160,000 miles original discs that I was taking off. Next time, I will bite the bullet and buy stock rotors, because I'm sure I won't be able to cut these very deep.

Hi there Eric! Happy to assist with your question! This rotors standard thickness is 28mm. It appears this fits mid 2000 model Camry's with 15" wheels. That said this information is based off that. If you do not have this type of vehicle we would need that information in order to help. The discard thickness would be 26mm.

                        A:

Hi cowboy, glad to assist you! Replacing rotors and pads on your Toyota Camry require a few specific tools, such as a C-clamp, brake grease, metric socket or wrench set, torque wrench, jack and stands, shop towels, brake cleaner solvent, a coat hanger or other heavy wire, and a drip pan. Loosen front wheel lug nuts, jack up front and put onto jack stands. Remove front wheels. Remove two bolts holding brake caliper using wrenches/sockets. Pull caliper off and hang to the side using wire. Slide out old pads and compress caliper piston back into bore using c-clamp. Suck out brake fluid from reservoir under hood to prevent overflow. Brake rotor should slide off or be held on by retainer clips over the lugs. Install new rotor and clips if applicable. Install new pads into caliper using the anti-squeal shims. Firmly grasp slide pin heads and pull out. Inspect for wear, replace if present. Clean old grease and re-lube. Reinsert into slide pin hole. Reinstall caliper onto rotor. Torque bolts to 25 ft-lb. Repeat for opposite side. Pump brakes to seat the new pads to rotors. Top off brake fluid. Reinstall wheels, snug tight the lugs, and lower car off jack stands. Tighten lugs to 76 ft-lbs.

2002 Toyota Camry LE, 2.4L, 4 cyl engine. How do I get the old rotors off the car? I have removed the calipers, but the rotors are "stuck" on the car or am I missing some holding device? I tried the threaded holes in the rotor to remove them, but no help.

                        A:

HI Gravygoat, please follow the instructions to replace the rotors: 1. Buy new rotors for your Toyota Camry at your local auto parts store or order them online. Change all of the rotors at the same time for safe and even braking performance. 2. Raise your Camry on jacks and jack stands to support it properly. Block the wheels to keep it from rolling while you work. Remove the tire and wheel assembly and set aside. Next, unfasten the caliper mounting bolts. 3. Slide the caliper assembly and attached brake line off of the rotor. Hang the assembly safely out of the way with mechanic's wire. Be very careful not to disconnect the brake line at any point. 4. Remove the old rotor and then clean the area around the hub with a damp cloth to remove any debris or corrosion. 5. Install the new rotor onto the hub and tighten the holding screws with a torque wrench or an air ratchet with an appropriate adapter. 6. Discard the wire and mount the caliper assembly back into place. Tighten the caliper mounting bolts with a torque wrench. Replace the wheel assembly and tire and then move on and repeat this process for each additional rotor. 7. Lower your Toyota Camry, tighten and torque the lug nuts and then pump the brake until the pedal feels firm again. Test drive your Toyota to make sure that everything is in working order.
