Bought this waterpump a few weeks ago and installed it on my 2000 Trans Am. Everything was fine, noticed a small leak after install that I thought was due to installation error... I looked and looked and noticed it was coming from the front of the engine. No hoses were wet or seals or anything. It was just on the front of the waterpump. Flash forward, I'm driving home yesterday and notice my car starting to overheat and smoke coming from the inside of my hood. I pull over, pop my hood, and what do I see? The upper neck on the waterpump has separated from the waterpump... So now I'm out 30 dollars in coolant, it made my serpentine belt slip off due to coolant pouring onto it, and I'm also out 20 dollars on the 2 Felpro metal gaskets I bought for it... If you notice a small leak and can't figure out where it's coming from, CHECK THE NECK WHERE THE UPPER RADIATOR HOSE GOES INTO!

When something like this goes, you need a good replacement and I not only got a good one but got one that was way below what I thought it was going to cost me! That was truly awesome and made my day.

This product was a great aftermarket replacement. The overall fit and finish was good. The factory pumps aren't very good. Mine only lasted 80k miles. Hopefully this GMB will last twice as long.

Had this installed on my car in less than 2 hours. Everything needed inside(water pump, thermostat) gasket. Only way they could have made it any easier was having a tube of sealent in the box.

Comments about CARQUEST Water Pump - New:

Better quality than OEM. Came with two types of gaskets to fit older models. Interference was a pain, but the pump was a snap.

Seems like a quality product. The bearing was slightly more noisy than I expected though it hasn't adversely affected the function/performance of the pump.
