Comments about CARQUEST Water Pump - New:

Pumps with cast impellers are known to cause issues on these pumps. This pump has a plastic impeller which is a good thing. Fit was very good and included gasket.

Comments about CARQUEST Water Pump - New:

Great product. I noticed on some forums people having trouble bleeding air out of the olds 3.5 when draining the system. I installed the pump, and opened the air valve on the radiator, then just filled the tank and let it sit while the system naturally burped air into the tank. After doing this for a few fills of the tank, I started the engine after it seemed done, and had no problems. Take your time filling the system, don't start the engine early!

          A:

Once the vehicle information is entered in our website the water pump is going to be a direct fit for your vehicle. They are made to meet or exceed OEM specifications therefore, should have all the same features as the original pump.

          A:

Not too hard. Remove battery, coolant recovery tank, and dismount the fuse holder. One belt idler will need to be removed as well, and keep track of which bolts go in which holes, some are specific. I was able to do everything easily from the top, no need to remove the wheel and do it from the wheelwell.

          A:

Replacing the water pump itself is not usually that difficult on alot of vehicles, however with some, it can be very difficult. If you can provide the year, make, model and engine size of your vehicle, I will be able to give you a more accurate judging on how difficult it is to replace as well as what other parts you may need for your application.
