I replaced my failing AC Delco unit with this new GMB pump on my trailblazer when the fan clutch gave up the ghost. Its' fit, form, and function is the same as the much more expensive dealer part and OE installed part. They look identical next to each other. The hardest part of the install was removing the fan clutch after that it was cake. I've used these GMB pumps in many cars from Toyota, Ford, and GM vehicles and all are performing just as well as the day they were installed. I usually do wp replacement as routine maintenance at around 100K or so just to save headache from a catastrophic failure on the highway. The Trailblazer 4.2 I6 pump is a common issue due to faulty cooling fan clutch causing a wobble in the fan that eventually causes the pump to fail. This pump is up to the job and has proven itself over many applications that I've installed it in. I don't even look at the re-manufactured pumps if there is a new alternative listed. The new part is usually just a fraction more and is worth the little extra $$.

I posted a 5 star review around January 2015 and here I am in April 2015 to report the pump gave up. Had to have my truck towed and have it replaced. I will not recommend or buy this brand again. I am posting this cause I could not find a place to edit my previous review. Take care all.

Comments about ToughOne Water Pump - New:

My 2007 Chevy Colorado 2.9 liter extended cab had a rattle/clank under the hood. I found out after researching online that it was probably the bearings going bad in the water pump. Having hit 130,000 miles I didn't feel bad about changing it anyway if I was wrong. I found a lot of information online and even a video of how to do it, and what tools I needed. Being a person who is not a mechanic nor mechanically inclined I had the new water pump installed in around 2 hours. The pump fit perfectly and came with a great gasket. So far no leaks and the Temp gauge is reading right at where the old pump was reading when it was in good condition. No more clank/rattle sound!!! Very happy and love the feeling of over coming a problem. I must thank all the great people at the Advance Auto in Yanceyville, NC store # I believe is 6197. Very kind and helpful.

I gave this water pump 1 star on my last review and they did not post it, so I will try to get it by on 3 stars. This water pump started leaking within 1 year. They would not replace it. Don't buy this junk.

Comments about ToughOne Water Pump - New:

Bought this pump to replace unit on 05 Isuzu Ascender LS 4.2L with 150k+ miles. After replacing fan clutch, I noticed the fan had started to wobble and coolant leaked from behind the water pump cover. Also heard a strange squeak during idle. Learned from online forums that meant the water pump was bad and a hazard if not changed immediately. I chose Advanced b/c I had a discount coupon from a previous purchase and didn't see any bad reviews. Installation is a pain- not b/c of the part, but b/c you have to remove the fan clutch to get access to the pump. Not impossible for the novice though. Many vid's and how-to's online. Remember to get new coolant, though. You will lose some doing this. Once old pump removed, new one went on with no prob's.

Hi Triz, happy to help you! The limited lifetime warranty part can be refunded for cash/credit within the 90 days time frame. After that time expires, it can only be exchanged for a new item. So the warranty is valid for the life of the part as long as the customer owns the vehicle.
