This has been a great starter, two months in. Can't vouch for anything beyond that. 1991 Saturn SL Zips it right up. Quick start.

Got a bad one, can't risk another....

Comments about CARQUEST Starter - Remanufactured:

Starter installed properly, but this unit died after only approximately 45 days in service. Dead starter = unstartable car, wherever you might be. Don't play games, buy quality and not this brand. I returned this for a refund, cannot risk another of the same brand. I hope Advance Auto considers changing brands from this one as their regular, stocked lifetime-warrantied starter.

This product is a starter for a Saturn Sedan that the refurbished model for this car was the wrong one at Auto Zone. You where the one place that I found the right part at a reasonable price. [...]The installation went smooth and the car is back on the road. Thank you.

        I got a defective one?

Comments about CARQUEST Starter - Remanufactured:

            It's cheap & installed fine.

My battery was also bad turns out & replaced it. Starter would crank a lot for 1st start of the day.

Battery store replaced battery & said new one is 10 volts more in testing (same type of battery). Now it seems okay at starting & a little quieter.

However, he noted the starter was drawing more amps than it should. Also that it was loud & a little metally sounding (though even those improved but not perfect with new battery). He expected it will die on me.

So will this starter be fussy as in trouble starting when my battery isn't brand new? Is it defective.

If I learn anything more I'll come back & add it.
