Comments about CARQUEST Starter - Remanufactured:

I was terrified of buying this starter because of the poor reputation that Tough One has. However, on a Sunday night, I buggered up my OEM starter and needed the truck for work the next day. Advance was open and had this in stock. Using a coupon code available online, I got a great discount on this starter and picked it up right before the store closed.

The unit went in with no issues. Since then, its been 6 month and 5,000+ miles and knock on wood, it still fires and work as it should. I initially got it as a stop gap until I had a chance to replace it with an OEM rebuilt unit, but its worked well and Ive stopped fearing its inevitable demise.

Definitely worth a try if you're in a pinch.

    Works exactly as it should

Comments about CARQUEST Starter - Remanufactured:

I read a few reviews stating these are smaller than OEM, but this one seemed equivalent to me. I did not realize how work the stock one was until I installed this and took notice of how well it cranked. No problems and after a month and it functions exactly as it should.

Comments about CARQUEST Starter - Remanufactured:

I installed this starter last Saturday. I wanted to save some money and do it myself. It took me about 3 hours usting floor jack and jackstands. Has worked fine since then. I'll trade 3 hours of my time for the cost of installation anytime! I liked the fact that it was a little shorter than the original as it made it easier to re-install.

Starter was a little shorter than the factory installed starter. But bolts up correctly and works as it should. Happy with my purchase.
