I bought this starter because I did not want to pay as much as three time more for other brands. I did so before I took old starter off because I could not find third bolt that instructions said held starter to engine. Looking at the new starter, it was evident that there were only 2 bolts. The new starter appears identical to original equipment, but no specs were available on new or old starter to compare. New starter works well and solved problem of non-starting. I only gave 4 stars because starters longevity is unknown. If it is still working in 10 years, it will deserve 5 stars even though OEM starter lasted 12 years.

The starter installed pretty easily, and it worked great. Then after about 6 months of use (I start my car an average of 6-8 times daily), the starter died. I was pretty disappointed. Now I have to go through the hassle of getting a replacement, fighting warranty, and replacing the unit. It could just be a bad apple though. I'll give the manufacturer the benefit of the doubt.

Ordered online and pick it up. Got a ride down town to where my car was broken down to find out it is not compatible. Had to hitch another ride back to the store to exchange it. They wouldnt give me the online discount for another starter that applied to the one that would fit. The other starter however did work but not after wasting my entire day doing so. If I wasnt in a pinch I would have just ordered the part from somewhere else. Very displeased with my treatment for being such a loyal customer.

Bought a starter on line advertised as an exact fit. It was not and couldn't be used. This was evident when I got the old starter out. It was exchanged at the store where I picked it up for the right one which worked fine. Store clerks were very helpful.
