Comments about CARQUEST Starter - Remanufactured:

put this starter in and within a few starts it was acting up again. now I have to waste more time taking it back out and taking it back to the auto parts store. really I have not found a good aftermarket starter from any auto part store and alternators are about the same junk quality. try and go factory when you can or go get them rebuilt. these cheap units are a waste of time and money.

                  A:

If it's just turning constantly you may have a faulty starter relay that does not disengage. Check for 12 volts at the small wire on the starter which would indicate a stuck relay. Replace the relay. If your engine actually runs without a key you have serious wiring problems.
