Q:how big of a job is starter removal and instalation
A:I'm happy to help, Teddy! Starter removal and installation difficulty can vary from vehicle to vehicle and skill level. This starter fits multiple Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge vehicles. A majority of them are trucks which are generally easier to access due to their ground clearance. To truly judge the difficulty of the job I recommend purchasing a repair manual for your vehicle which will explain the entire process for your specific vehicle and it's great investment if you plan to do your own vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Q:put this starter on my 1988 dodge dakota. now it wants to grind after starting for like half a second it seems like it is not disengaging fast enough.it does not do it every time maybe once every five starts. any ideas?
A:I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
