Comments about ToughOne Single Shaft Vented CW Blower Motor w/o Wheel:

Some experience working on cars and being a bit of a contortionist helps. The blower motor is in a housing under the passenger side dashboard. I did not have a repair manual to assist me but it was easy enough to figure out how to remove the cover for the blower motor. Removing the glove box door helped to see the housing.

The install kit should include two #14 insulated butt splices to connect the motor leads to the old connector cable. Also, The screw holes in motor frame used to secure the motor to the housing are 180 degrees reversed so the new motor leads did not line up with the stock wiring grommet.

A complete motor/fan assembly would have been less work. I actually found a complete assembly for less money than the motor alone after I purchased this unit.

Comments about ToughOne Single Shaft Vented CW Blower Motor w/o Wheel:

This aftermarket blower motor replaced the worn out factory unit in our '99 Dodge Grand Caravan nearly perfectly. It was easy to install and works great with no issues at all. I do wish that the motor was a bit larger. The packaging comes with foam tape to fill in the gap between the motor and its housing. Why not just use a motor of the same O.D. as the original? If you don't mind splicing wires and carefully removing the squirrel cage fan from the original unit this motor might be for You.

Comments about ToughOne Single Shaft Vented CW Blower Motor w/o Wheel:

Requires some experience with electrical wiring because the factory wiring harness from old motor has to be used with new motor. Plug does not come on motor wiring.

          • Q:

Easy swap out but noticed the end clips are a pain to reuse...actually broke on of them trying to put back on new wire. The question is, is it possible to by-pass those end clips and just use connectors to splice the wires? Any special connectors needed?

              A:

Yes, you can bypass it with a electrical connector. However the connector type differs as per vehicle. I would recommend that you check the connector type and then buy and install it.
