The radiator was well packaged and protected. The radiator was to be used in my Firebird with automatic transmission. It can also be used in manual transmission cars. It is a nice direct fit, looks like a well made product, time will tell on that. Install went well with no surprises. It fit right into the spot the OEM radiator came out of with absolutely no modifications needed. Install was as easy as General Motors could make it, some hoses and wiring to be moved, but by no means the fault of the replacement radiator. If you're attempting this replacement install, maybe a flex head or ratheting tube wrench would come in handy, as well as some fatory type hose clamp pliers as these items are blocking each other and require a bit of work to get to to remove and replace. Again, not the radiators fault and nothing a home mechanic shouldn't be able to handle with some basic tools. All factory hoses and transmission lines attached without adapters being required. This was used on a 6 cylinder car, not sure if a V8 radiator would differ other than maybe core size.

      Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Original radiator was in the Camaro RS v8 since 92 and had several small cracks and one finally started leaking. This one from AAP was the best deal I could find, I used a coupon code for 25 off, got to pick up locally, and got a lifetime replacement warranty that I wouldn't get with a rad from online. Fit was perfect and only took about a hour to install. Remember to buy new hoses when you replace a rad unless they are not to old. And make a copy of your receipts for warranty purposes because AAP thermal paper will fade after a year or so.

      bad product

      Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Got this radiator for my sons Camaro. After installation, put in antifreeze and it starts to leak along the seam of the tank & the tubes. This is poor quality, I have got better service from used radiators. I have learned my lesson, no more parts from Advance Auto, going back to my home town auto parts dealer

My 92' Camaro Z28 1LE is very rare and doesn't have A/C. Will this radiator still work or does it have extra outlets? If not, do you know where I can find one that will.

I have a 1987 Pontiac Trans AM GTA and was wondering what type of coolant level sensor would work on this radiator? The coolant level sensor that is on the OEM radiator will not fit this Radiator. Is there a adaptor so the oem coolant level sensor will fit this radiaor? The oem coolant level sensor is too small for the Ready-Rad Radiator coolant level sensor hole.
