Installed in a 2007 pathfinder, had to remove front bumper cover, wheel liners, and bumper supports.
And then it practically fell out on its own.
Great radiator, great price but 4 hours of removal time.

          Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

looks OK, but it took 2 tries to get an acceptable one. Evidently the Mfg. doesn't inspect the finished product. One side of core great other side had deep scratches in it, the first one was BAD, second one though scratched was acceptable. The store was great about the exchanges.

              A:

Happy to assist you Keith! This radiator does come with a transmission cooler. If you have a look at the radiator on out web site on the bottom of the radiator neat the outlet there is a brass barb fitting and another of the same fittings across from it. Those would be where the transmission cooler would be connected.

Question if the Nissan transmission cooler defect was corrected with the Toughone as well? I see comments that it was corrected for the Ready-Rad, but no mention of the Toughone.

          • Q:

I am not sure the original queston that the first gentleman asked was answered, If I buy this radiatior, can I be sure that coolant will not leak into the transmission oil -- a problem with the original equipment radiators, that destroyed the transmission. Is this radiator tested to make sure that the insides will not rupture and allow coolant to get into the transmission fluid?

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

Yes, replacing the Ready-Rad Radiator (Part No. 433879) will rectify the leaking problem. However there are other common factors like Coolant electrolysis, scale/rust from using tap water and burst due to frozen water in the radiator which weakens the welds and seams on the cores of radiator and heater cores, causing leaks. For any further assistance please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto store and one of our representatives will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

Does this radiator do away with the problem of coolant leaking into the transmission lines. The radiators Nissan used in the pathfinders are notorious for doing this.

              A:
