One problem with this feedback review.I passed up nickname(below)because I don't have one but your review has this as a required field.I now realize you must mean a name to reference this review to but I think this should be explained for us old timers as myself(62 next week).Thanks.

The actual radiator itself seems fine. But there are two areas of concern, especially for an inexperienced mechanic. 1. The ridge on the inlet and outlet is smaller than factory, so if you use the factory spring-type hose clamps, you risk having your hose blow right off the rad under system pressure. Using aftermarket clamps will prevent that. 2. The transmission cooling line connection on the left (driver's side) is angled about 45 degree. It should be straight. It completely changes the routing of the formed factory line and actually has to be repositioned just to attach the line. Angles into the engine mount beam.

        Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

i understand producing these from aluminum for cost, but if they would just finish these with black they would last longer and cool better. The black finish alone would disipate heat much better. I have tested motors and simular parts in labs and was shocked at how much longer a black finished part would last than a lighter color especially since you warranty these, I would think you would save quite a bit and the customer would have a better cooling radiator that would be replaced less.

          Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Very easy to install. Only complaint is that it didn't come with all new hardware, had to reuse old clip/ blind nuts. Answer to other comments posted, although it would have been nice to have a manual trans option, it is not necessary and you DO NOT need to cap off the lines, just make certain the lock nuts are tight.

Product was well packaged and easy to install. Have no complaints at all with the quality of the product. Be aware though that it doesn't come with a radiator cap so you have to use your old one or buy a new one. Love Advance Auto Parts! They do a great job at customer service and providing the best and lowest cost parts.

Radiator came with auto trans cooling lines however I only needed for manual trans. Would be better if caps/plugs supplied to cover holes for auto trans lines rather than having to leave them sticking out unconnected. Priced reasonably.

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

Had this issue with replacing the radiator with my Honda. The trany cooler is a closed off pipe that just runs through the radiotor and doesn't require a connection. Hope that helps.
