Pros

    Cons

    • Not The "svt" Radiatior

    Best Uses

    • On Auto Trans Only

    Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

The SVT radiator DID NOT have a Auto Trans Cooler Built in. It has the same mount and will fit, But the SVT needed more cooling so it had its own Radiator since they ONLY came in a 5 Speed Manual. I have a SVT and SE, both 2000 and they have completly opposite part numbers.

although this radiator was a direct fit for the cougar, it was not an easy job.

Regarding the transmission oil cooler connections on the radiator, which is the inlet and which is the outlet in terms of top and bottom, thank you. 1996 ford contour 2.0L

        A:

Great question, Cnlk! Generally, the top would be the inlet and the bottom the outlet. To ensure that you hook the lines back up the way they came out I would tie the lines off in the direction of the spot they connect. For more detailed replacement instructions I recommend a repair manual, Part No. 36006.
