A great replacement part for the car. Had a question concerning the transmission cooler section and found no instructionsd so I called Ready Rad. Got an answer with no wait or problem. Turns out that the transmission section is independant of the radiator itself and if it does not apply to your application the plastic plugs can be left in and does not require hook up or permanetly plugged.

Bought first one and possibley gotten a returned one. one clip that goes on the ac condensor was broken off. Exchanged no problem. Now I know why one of the clips were broken. The space of the clips are to small to go onto the condenser. Used a razor and carved a little bit out of each of them on the open part and finally was able to get the clips to work. Once you get past that part installation is easy. Time will tell how good the radiator is. I do have a different style (part # 432476) by them on my elantra and it is holding up good for about 2 years. All they have to do is make the back clips for the condensor opened a tad bit more and this would be a 5 star insallation. Hope it last the rest of the life of this 2001 Saturn SL2 it is installed on.

Eh, it works. Had to rig it. Time will tell true quality

    Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Plastic tabs that hold the ac condenser to the top of the radiator were too small and don't bend. I had to break them off to allow them to line up and be bolted together at the bottom. Has automatic trans input and output even though mines manual, my factory one didn't. Probably mass produced to fit both applications. It's been over a week and hasn't given any issues. I needed my car for work or I would have looked for a better quality radiator with another core in it too.

      Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

It is the right radiator for my vehicle, however the slots on the front of the radiator are too small and this turned a challenging job into a horrible ordeal. Did not mesh with the AC radiator because of the slot issue. I recommend that you check the slot clearance before installing, adjust the slots with a screwdriver (or dremel, or whatever - I used a screwdriver) if necessary. I have done this job before and I did not have this issue. I would not buy this part again, ever. I recommend finding another brand of this part.

      Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

have installed literally dozens of radiators in these saturn s cars, job ordinarily is not a big deal. have used numerous aftermarket units and the quality varies from mediocre to near oem. if you buy this unit be sure the mounting tabs that accept the upper a/c condenser brackets are wide enough for the bracket to slip in as it needs to. the tabs are part of the plastic side tanks, i took a dremel tool and widened them to about 1/8 inch, if you don't have enough clearance you won't be able to bolt the condenser to the radiator and the job will end up being a whole lot more frustrating than necessary. there is a reason these radiators are so cheap...

The Stock radiator had devolved crack at the upper trans line connection and was leaking. Was 11 years old. Bought this one thinking for price would get at least 5 years, wrong. Devolved a crack at upper trans line connection in only 2 years time.

        Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Basic replacement radiator. I didn't like that the auto trans lines just have soft rubber plugs. Since mine is a standard I didn't have those connections, and leaving those dinky plugs in scares me, but it seems to be holding up well. I had a little trouble with getting the top clips attached to the AC condensor. You have to really jam those on its a tight fit, I ended up breaking off the pass side one in the process. Other than that its a great replacement.

The two metal pipe looking things are the inlet and outlet lines for the transmission oil cooler that sets in front of the cars radiator. Let me give you some good advice...use a tubing wrench to loosen and tighten these. Advance sells a metric and SAE set of these wrenches in their stores. It is a royal pain in the Keester if you spin bend these tubes. I bought both sets just to have around. I bent a fuel line once on the inlet line to the carburetor on my Z-28 Camaro. I ended up getting frustrated and stripped the threads on the carb too. They aren't Snap On or Proto grade wrenches, but they do the job and save you a lot of hassle.
