I purchased this part online and I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the store since it had been pulled out for me prior to my arrival at the store. The part was a perfect match and the installation was a snap although I have little do it yourself experience. The quality and workmanship of the radiator appears to be of very good quality, and I expect no less than ten years of service from it (the original lasted 12 years). The radiator was well packaged and it came with good installation instructions. Unlike other OE parts that I purchased at other stores, this part completely matched the installation points of the replaced radiator. I did not have to make any tweaks to it or modifications of any kind to make it fit in my car. I highly recommend this brand and merchant if you are looking for a replacement for your radiator.

It did the job

I installed it in my daughter's car. I trust the reliability of the radiator, so it doesn't leave her stranded. The product came exactly as the old one. Easy to install.

Pros

  • Bang For Your Buck
  • Exact Replacement Fit

Cons

  • No Radiator Cap
  • No Side Air Dam Fins

Best Uses

    Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Not as cheap as you can find online some places but in a pinch with a discount code it was exactly what I needed. All of the hose connections and mount points matched perfectly. Note that you'll have to reuse the cap and side air dam fins from your existing radiator.

Perfect fit on my99 Altima. Nice that proper fittings included. It did not require any modification or welding, it just bolted right on and came with a full lifetime warranty. Shipping included in price and product arrived in a timely manner. I use Advance exclusively for all my automotive needs they are knowledgeable and helpful. One tip for consumers don't throw your old radiator away most metal recycling companies will pay you at least a few bucks for your old radiator. Plus its good for the environment.

Replaced OEM radiator in 97 Altima. Radiator was a perfect fit in cradle, and piping and hose connections were exactly like factory unit. Only had to add two half-unions included in kit to connect transmission cooler. Instructions were clear and concise with pictures and diagrams. Great buy and super value.

Hi Marc, good question! Yes, this product comes with limited lifetime replacement warranty. The lifetime warranty part can be refunded for cash/credit within the 90 time frame. After that time expires, it can only be exchanged for a new item. So the warranty is valid the life of the part as long as the customer owns the vehicle.

Well this all depends on the skill level of whoever is removing or replacing the part. Some may have a harder time than others who have experience. I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.

If there is transmission fluid in your radiator, then most likely there is an internal leak in your transmission cooler, which is part of the radiator, and the whole thing will most likely need to be replaced.
