I bought a Ready-Rad Vista Pro as a replacement radiator for my 2000 Dakota 4.7L, when I installed the electric fan to the radiator I noticed the fan props were rubbing the radiator. Upon comparison with OEM I noticed this core thickness seems about 3/8 wider on the Ready Rad. I added some space washers to the fan mount to remedy that difference. Also it was very difficult to install the radiator because my radiator has AC condenser and tranny cooler attached. My original came out ok tranny cooler very close to bumper but installing this new one took about 1/2 hr longer than necessary. Finally got it in but some measurements seem out of spec slightly making installation difficult, possibly the radiator is 1/4 too tall, passenger side bottom mount hard to install, bound by bumper to tranny cooler and radiator height. Otherwise the unit has performed well so far. If I had to do it over I would try another brand with same oem dims.
Using online discounts I was able to get $50 off so the price was better than other local stores. If the price of this one was the same as the others I would have returned it and took a change on another brand.

Second one I had to buy withing 14 months. Store would not honor the lifetime warranty in store because it was bought online. Do not use the online service if you plan on using the warranty.

            Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

The radiator fit perfectly in a 2000 Dodge Dakota. Note that with a manual transmission the extra inlet/outlet for transmission cooling are not needed. You can leave the red plugs in or if not there you can just leave them open - the transmission cooling system is only on automatic transmissions and is a separate system from the engine cooling. YouTube videos for installation really help!

Only one rad for my truck.(I have a Manual trans.). Had open ports for auto trans cooling lines, no plugs or mention of this anywhere. Talked online chat with Stacy. Asked what size plug to get to seal unneeded holes, you guessed it not a clue! Dodged my questions and finally just hung up on me. Poor customer service. Dont recomend !!!!!!!!

A two row radiator will hold twice the amount of coolant compared to a one row radiator. This means a much more efficient radiator.

I can't seem to get the radiator pulled out of the bottom brackets. One of the screws is stripped holding the condenser to the radiator, and u cant get at the bolt. I think I'll have to crack the AC system to remove the condenser with the radiator. Can this be done without cracking it open?

If you want to remove the condensor with the radiator, you will have to crack the radiator. Unless you can get that one bolt out while they are attached and in the car, then you will have to crack the A/C system.
