GM made it easy to change radiator on an s-1o. You dont even have to remove the fan. Radiator came with new connections for trans cooler, but not for oil cooler. But doesn't matter, because the new connections are poorly milled anyway. Burrs left on the groove for the ring clip prevent the hose from going in all the way. Used all the connections from my old radiator. But you can't beat the price.

Comments about CARQUEST or ToughOne Radiator:

This is for a 2000 Chevy S10 Blazer. Transmission fitting leaked on first Radiator. Engine fitting leaked on second radiator. The third one never put on because of a ton of crud in engine cooler fitting. So if you want this, look at the fittings very closely before walking out the door! I repaired the old radiator and put it back in with no problems. Another problem is the core is a smaller than OE, so cooling fan will not kick on until about 210 degrees. these will run between 210 and 230 degrees. Too hot for me. No a new clutch fan won't fix this. Don't buy a clutch fan from AA or anywhere else for that matter, they are all junk. All made by the same manufacturer under different names. All from the same place in TX. Highly recommend going to the dealer for both radiator and the clutch fan. You can get them for 50% off dealer quoted prices online on GM websites. They are not all the same so shop around a little.

Comments about CARQUEST or ToughOne Radiator:

Had a hole in my radiator. Also leaking hose. Also leaking water pump. Also leaking heater core. This is why I never recommend stop leak! It only covers up your problems and it's a surprise to your mechanic, or future owners.

This radiator was very easy to install, easily done by one person. Fit perfectly in 2003 Chevrolet S-10 RWD v6 4.3L auto. Took maybe 5 minutes to remove old/install new. Comes with all 4 attachments nibs for your transmission and oil cooler lines, which are likely rusted on an older vehicle. Be sure that you don't bend, crimp, or break your cooler lines!

Also, the description says that the drain valve is on the bottom right; it's on the bottom left if looking at it while installed on your vehicle. Same side as the filler neck, and it's angled so that it flows to the side when draining. Drain valve is plastic. Aluminum radiator with plastic sides and plastic filler neck.

Overall, very good replacement part and I would certainly purchase again.

Comments about CARQUEST or ToughOne Radiator:

The best thing about this radiator was that is was reasonably priced, and was in-stock when I needed to get the job done.
The part was an exact fit and fairly easy to install.
As with any radiator installation, careful attention was given to reattaching the oil cooling lines and transmission cooling lines.
I would recommend this part to anyone considering it as a replacement part.
The price was so reasonable when compared to a dealer supplied OEM part and to tell the truth, I can't see any difference between the new part and the original which failed due to a crack in the side tank after 150K miles.
Hopefully I'll get just as many miles with this new radiator.

                        A:

Sorry, that specification is not available. An approximate answer can be derived using the dimensions of the radiator core listed and converting them into the volume by using the formula Height x Length x Width [15" x 26.25" x 1"] and we arrive at 393.75 cubic inches. If we convert the cubic inches to gallons [1 cubic inch = 0.004329 gallons], we come up with 1.7045 U.S. gallons. If you factor in the fins and that there is not liquid in the total area calculated, and then you adjust for the amount of coolant stored in the tanks, it is probably about 1.35 gallons that the radiator itself holds. The entire coolant system will probably hold about 4-5 gallons which is the norm.
