1999 toy Tacoma 6 cyl 4 wheel drive...the radiator will fit as long as you leave the fan shroud off...big safety issue for me.

    Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

I read a similar review and thought to myself that they just screwed up the installation.... not so. After griping at my son for spilling antifreeze we figured out the new radiator had a gaping hole in it! While I unsderstand that things happen, you would think that some kind of pressure test would be in order before selling a radiator as new.

      Decent raditator for the price

      Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Decent radiator for the price after coupon. The only downside is the mounting holes didnt line up completely center but it still fit tight and snug.

The fan shroud wont fit this radiator..so, just leave it off and hope you don't get a hand mangled by the fan?

          A:

Hi Jack, I'm glad to assist you. If you install the radiator first, you will have to remove it to install the shroud. The fan shroud won't fit between it and the fan. Also make sure the shroud is right side up when you place it over the fan: you won't be able to turn it over without removing the radiator. With the shroud in place, gently lower the radiator into the engine compartment. Four bolts pass through holes in the radiator mounting plate and into clip-on captive nuts in the radiator support. Start all the bolts before tightening any of them, then run them down. Pull the fan shroud forward to meet the radiator. Bolt the shroud to the radiator, then tighten the bolts once all four are in.

          A:

Hi Marie! Good question! This ToughOne or Ready-Rad Radiator carries the limited lifetime replacement warranty valid for 90 days from the date of purchase or any longer warranty period that may be printed on your original sales receipt. In addition, you must be the original purchaser of the part and still own the vehicle on which it was installed. This warranty cannot be transferred to anyone at any time. Replacement parts are warranted for 90 days from the date of exchange or the remainder of the warranty period, whichever is longer.
