Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Great part! The only thing that through me off was the ports for an automatic transmission lines. This part is universal- both auto & manual transmissions.
*I wish it came with caps for these ports.

Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Just had it in for a few days but works fine. Didn't realize the company only makes one radiator for both manual and standard transmissions so the hookups for the automatic transmission threw me. Live and learn.

Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

My local shop had this replacement radiator in stock, and after 20% off by buying it online, the price was great. The installation did not go smoothly. Only 3 of the 4 bolt holes used to mount the radiator to the truck lined up, and only 3 of the 4 bolt holes used to attach the fan shroud lined up. The holes were off by more than 1/4". I used a Dremel to elongate the hole on the truck and on the shroud, and after that the radiatore went in.

    Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Had absolutely no problem with the fit of this radiator; other users who had problems with bolt holes not lining up may have had some distortion in the radiator support due to a fender bender or worse. Go ahead and remove the grill...it will give you better access to the bolts; however, be prepared to get new plastic clips to reattach the grill; the originals will probably crack up when you pinch or pry them out. You can find the clips at several locations online, Toyota dealer and some specialty fasteners stores. Last thing: go ahead and replace your water pump, hoses, thermostat and belts while the radiator is out and you have access to everything; you'll be glad you did if you have any of these go bad within a year or two of the radiator replacement.

After installing radiator started to leak at top. Lasted about 5 miles of warming up. Returned unit for a refund. Spent twice as much and got a denso radiator.

Bought this radiator to replace my leaking one, bought online picked up in store. The associates were great , I was surprised them to be open on July 4,2013. Part is not O.E. quality but got me up and running and haven't had any problems yet.I replaced the cap and fan clutch while it was removed for my 96 taco is over 160k.

            Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

The installation can only be as good as your parts. I had to proceed with this poor quality radiator due to time constraints. It will have to be re-done within 1 or 2 yrs. The bolt holes are so far off, I could only use 3 of the 4 mounting bolts, and that was literally stretching it. Also, if the plastic on the tanks were much thinner, I'd be looking for a yellow + blue makes green seal (think ziploc sandwich bags).
