Comments about CARQUEST Premium Spark Plug Wire Set:

Autolite should print the wire number on each wire (1,3,5),like the original wire set. It would make the job go quicker.

show wiring where each goes 1998 toyota v6t
Asked on 10/11/2012 by billy from cana va.

      1 answer

While replacing the ignition wires in your 1998 Toyota V6, follow these steps: Locate the spark plug wires. Look for a series 6 wires (depending on the model) snaking from a single point in the engine (the distributor) to equidistant points on the head, or top, of the engine. Use the spark plug wire puller to pull the wire off one of the spark plugs. It doesn't matter which one you start with. Pull the other end of the wire off of the distributor. Do not force the wires to come off or you may damage the connections. Then replace the existing ones with the Autolite Professional Series Ignition Wireset - Part No. 97027. No it does not. This application has 3 coils, each directly on the spark plugs on the passenger side. There are 3 wires in this set, each wire connects one coil to one of the spark plugs on the driver's side.

It should cover all the cylinders of your vehicle, if this is the set for your vehicle.

only 3 wires in set. Do I buy 2 sets?

The Spark Plug Wire Set is a complete set of wires. It comes with the amount of wires that you need for your vehicle.
Description: Autolite Professional Series wires are designed to meet or exceed OES requirements. Provides the necessary accessories, silicone content and boot designs. High temperature, pre-greased silicone boots, high tech nylon reinforcement provides increased terminal retention. Improved jacket adhesion. The tougher silicone jacket is less likely to tear away from the insulation versus Pro-Fit(TM) wires. NOTE: This wire set is for vehicles which utilize a "slave" coil on plug set-up. One cylinder has a direct coil-on-plug connection that in turn has a "slave" lead connection to an adjacent cylinder. This configuration cuts the number of spark plug leads required in half (i.e. two leads for a four cylinder, three leads for a six cylinder).
