Great replacement for OEM hose. Instructions on how to remove OEM seal were very clear; the actual removal was easier than reading about it! Several reviewers have given this product a poor rating because it was not an exact OEM replacement. I would ignore these comments. It is clearly stated that modifications are required to use the product and they give very clear instructions on how to do it. It was the easiest part of the job!
Great part and great price. I'm very happy with the result!

This product does NOT fit a 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada (same steering rack as 2002 Trailblazer, Envoy, and Buick Rainier). I share the earlier reviewer's frustration in that I did not discover this until the line was already installed. Also came with two o-rings that are not used in this rack (special seals sit inside the rack, and two seals are included with both the rack inlet and outlet lines when purchased at the dealer. Will attempt to return part to the store where I bought it. See full writeup: [@]

Comments about CARQUEST Power Steering 3/8" Captive Seal x 16MM Male O-Ring:

If you know how to read and follow directions this part fits just perfect. You have to remove the seal in your rack and use the supplied o-ring in replacement of the seal you removed. The new line is larger than the old line but when you remove the seal it fits. The overall job was a pain to complete but as long as you take your time it is not that bad.

Manafaturer is not being honest. They want you to take apart the entire assembly which makes no sense for a simple hose replacement. This is not OE. It requres modification. Trailblazer EXT 03

you have to remove the powersteering rack and remove the GM bushing and valve to install this hose assembly.
With the GM bushing and velve assembly removed the new hose will fit the power steering rack.

This hose is not a direct replacement and requires modification to work.

The directions should be rewritten for the correct installation of this hose, the directions would be fine with a direct replacement hose, unfortanatly this is not the case.

You should sell the parts that are replacing the ones that are broken, not just ship non compatable parts and waste our time and $. We will never order parts from you again.

A well made replacement. They made a modification to one seal but didn't make an little extention to the rigid line to make it slightly easier to install. It seems to be a very good replacement to the oem.

One of the fitting ends is not the same as the OEM part. I am not sure why this fitting has a different diameter fitting and the rubber O-ring is not in the same location. I am not sure if there was an overlap in the 02-03 years in the manufacturing or what, but this hose will not fit my '03 Trailblazer.

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
