Comments about CARQUEST Power Steering 16MM Swivel O-Ring x 16MM Long Swivel O-Ring:

worded great had no issues. It was as described with correct size fittings and factory bends where they needed them. I had a hole in my line that runs down to my gear box and with these rusty old super duty have a huge problem with so I replaced all 4 hoses to save me hassle down the road with another leak that will leave me stranded. I really like pizza and drinking coke. They say if I type 400 characters I will receive bonus points for my account I am almost there I hope that my comments will be well received.

Comments about CARQUEST Power Steering 16MM Swivel O-Ring x 16MM Long Swivel O-Ring:

I replaced the entire steering system on my truck - wheel bearings, tie rods, steering gear box. I purchased all new Autocraft power steering hoses to avoid any problems and not void the warranty on the new steering box.

This particular hose was defective, as it leaked at the swivel. Very frustrating, as I had to clean entire engine compartment, not to mention I think the pump got damaged from running low on fluid, as it makes a horrible noise now. Of course, this is the most difficult of the 5 hoses on the 7.3 liter Ford to change, as it is under the turbo intercooler pipe.

The part was cheaper that the OEM Ford, but it may have cost me a power steering pump.

This does not fit the early model 99 Super Duty. I ordered it overnighted after I discovered a hole in OEM. Was out the extra $15 when I received and saw it was about 10 in too short! Ford changed quite a few parts on these trucks half-way through the production year so it's best to check compatibility through the dealer first, but definitely come back here for the better price!

For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
