      Comments about CARQUEST Power Steering 16MM Male O-Ring x 18MM Male O-Ring:

Aside from the fact that the PT Cruiser is difficult to work on in the first place, once I got to a point where the hose fittings could be screwed in, it was all down hill from there. The hose works really well and I have had no problems with it. The supplied hose brackets were nothing to rave about, I actually had to put adhesive- backed foam strips in the brackets so that the hose wouldn't get damaged over time from vibration/ rubbing against the outer edges of them. Length and the form of the aluminum lines to the pump and rack were exact. The comparable hose from Chrysler was almost twice the cost of this one. I highly recommend this power steering hose to anyone who has one go bad on their Cruiser.

No, Advance Auto will not do installing or replacing of this part. However, it depends upon the skill level of the person performing the operation. For installation, I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual. Tools required for replacing this part are 10mm Socket & Extension, Ratchet, Adjustable wrench, 14mm Metric flare nut wrench, 16mm Standard flare nut wrench, Drain pin and Phillips & Flathead screwdriver.
