Goes from the steering rach to the p/s fluid cooler on the return side. worked on my 99 ranger. this nut is an 18mm flare nut (all of the p/s lines on the ranger are) this is an uncommon wrench size. also a small cresent wrench will work.

Comments about CARQUEST Power Steering 16MM Long Swivel O-Ring x 3/8" ID Hose:

Good part, exact fit for a 97 SOHC explorer. This is the hose that runs from the rack to the power steering cooler, and is VERY difficult to access. Loosen the cooler itself to give a little more room to work in. There are two large bolts on the rack that hold the cooler. This was a tough repair, but at least I had the right replacement part.

              A:

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
