Comments about CARQUEST Power Steering 14MM Male Inverted Flare x 18MM Male Captive O-Ring - with Switch Port:

When I purchased this, it appeared to be correct. However, after removing the old line, they are not the same. The look 90% identical until you get down to last couple bends that go into the rack. Because of these imperfections, it does not line up with the port to screw in, and it rubs on the subframe. Even if I were to bend it and make it fit, the metal to metal contact would destroy this part fairly quickly. I tried two of these and they were both the same. I returned both and went directly to the manufacturer. It costs a little more, but there are no fitment issues and the port for the pressure switch is actually in the right place, not just hanging off the side.

The black O ring is self explanatory but, where does the yellow plastic grommet fit in this assembly?
