Bottom contour is squared off, GMC is round. Does not fit in well due to bottom contour. Sticks up out od well about 3/8" Because it was 10PM and I needed vecicle in AM, I had to seal top of well with weatherstripping. Heater core works fine but is not a exact replacement.
Beware, heater core replacement in a Blazer is a muther of a job and you have to be very mechanically inclined for this job!!

              Comments about CARQUEST Heater Core:

Since I have a warranty on this incompatible part, I am going to get a new one. It will fit into the cavity, but the cover for the heater core wont be able to seal the top -causing an air leak. This will reduce the efficiency of the heater core's functionality. You can try to seal it with foam, etc.. Since I am an automotive tech, I can easily replace this, HOWEVER, if you are going to do this, and you don't feel like dealing with the b/s of the improper fit AND short life of this heater core, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and spend a little extra for an OEM part!! These other "negative" reviews were correct!! It doesn't fit correctly and it doesn't last long. Oh yeah, get yourself some foam strips as indicated by other reviews. The original core has them for a proper fit and probably to prevent "chafing" as well.

                  Comments about CARQUEST Heater Core:

The product worked exactly as it was supposed to work. My original Heater Core went out making it impossible to drive my vehicle. I did not realize the importance of a Heater Core until I was driving down the road and steam started coming out of the vents in my car and all of my windows fogged up and I then realized that the Heater Core was completely out and had to pull over and find a way to get my car to the shop to get the new Heater Core put in. The Heater Core plays a vital part in the cars performance and you can not drive with out it.

I did drain and flush the radiator each time and took care of not damaging placing it in.

I purchased this product believing it was correct and would fit. It does not fit. The bottom end of the core is squared off and the plenum it slides into is rounded. this leaves the core sticking up about a 1/4in too high and the top cover cannot be reinstalled. Its now the evening before Thanksgiving and my truck is ripped apart. The OEM part is not in stock at Advance Auto Parts & the manager is a dousche... I could have plugged my heater core hoses and waited for the right part but I trusted this loser company to provide me with the correct part...
