Has very good power to turn over the tractor. Kinda early in the use stage. Should be filling out this in about six months, but so far so good.

You need to check the mfg. date code. This size battery is a slow seller and can sit on the shelf for a year or more. I needed two of these and went to two different local stores to find batteries with fresh build dates. Employees at both stores very accommodating. Happy...:)..!

Comments about CARQUEST HD Battery Farm and Truck Battery, Group Size 4, 860 CCA:

THis battery was used in cat backhoe to replace old battery that was not intended to be used to start cat backhoe diesel engine. Battery is bulky and very heavy which caused problem geetting into small battery box on the cat backhoe. Once installed and connected to battery leads, the battery cranked the diesel engine easily. This battery was looked up online and seems to comply with all cat specs for original equipment battery replacement. Battery was available at York, South Carolina store. I ordered online, and picked the battery up the same day. Store employee checked old battery before I bought the new replacement battery. I was very, well pleased with on line ordering, and ease of obtaining service at York, S. C. store. I would do again if I need any additional parts or supplies for farm and/or personnal equipment.

I put this battery in a 45 year old Ford diesel backhoe when it was 20 degrees out and backhoe started w/just the manifold heater,Something it hasn't done in ten years without a sniff. So far this battery has outperformed the last two, time will tell but so far so good!!! and the 20% off coupon didn't hurt either.

It is a battery, so product life is its most important characteristic. Unfortunately you can't review this in the first month after purchase. All I can say is that it is starting a 5000 Ford diesel tractor which is notoriously hard to start.

Over the last 20 years our family has always used Deka batteries in our tractors. They work well for a while and fail very rapidly. A friend suggested to try this battery. It has been three years now and has out last any Deka battery I have ever owned, this is better value for the money.

                      • CUSTOMER CARE

                        A:

                        FREE REPLACEMENT PERIODS
Your free replacement period begins the day you purchase the battery, and expires at the end of the "Free Replacement Period" printed on your Order Invoice and Order Confirmation email, or when you sell your vehicle, whichever occurs first. When a battery is replaced during the "Free Replacement Period", the warranty does not renew, it continues on from the original date of purchase.

                        PRORATION
The prorated purchase price of any battery listed above, which becomes defective after the lapse of the "Free Replacement Period", and prior to the end of the warranty period, will be either credited toward the purchase of another battery, or refunded at our option. The amount of the proration shall be determined by dividing the purchase price by the number of months of the warranty period, and then multiplying the result by the number of months remaining in the warranty period. (Any partial months will be rounded to the nearest whole month). When a battery is replaced after the "Free Replacement Period" and a prorated fee is paid, the warranty starts from that date as a new purchase.
