Do not waste your time. We have had to replace it twice within the month. Very noisy and unreliable. We are replacing it with a Bosch.

Comments about CARQUEST Fuel Pump Sender Assembly:

Lasted about 2 weeks and now fuel pump is dead. I made sure it wasn't anything this else such as wiring by connecting old pump and it worked fine. Reconnected this one and doesn't work so I do know its not wiring or fuse, etc. On website it says it includes tank lock but doesnt.

Comments about CARQUEST Fuel Pump Sender Assembly:

Well it lasted a week. I tested to make sure it wasnt another problem by connecting another pump and that worked; reconnected this pump and didn't work. Definately not worth it. Just buy one of the more expensive ones. Now i gotta drop tank replace pump and reinstall tank. Great another day of being under the Jeep.

It worked well and installed correctly. It is pretty noisy, but it is a hunting vehicle so it was not a real concern. Is a value for price.

Comments about CARQUEST Fuel Pump Sender Assembly:

I have a 1990 Cherokee. I read the reviews stating noise, inccuracy, etc. I bought and installed this assembly anyway(from a different retailer, for more money, when Advance cancelled my order. No reason was given). The "different retailer" doesn't have a customer review section but the brand and part number match exactly. [...]The pump got very noisey after about 30 minutes and the sending unit was innaccurate right from the get go. Duh. I should have listened. It makes me wonder when/if I'll get stranded while off-road by this product. I will be replacing the pump with an oem. I can deal with the innaccuracy. [...]

Comments about CARQUEST Fuel Pump Sender Assembly:

I had a hard time getting the one to fit first off, then the gauge was way off,by 1/2 tank.Returned it and the second one was even harder to install and was only 1/4 tank off.My old gauge/pump unit worked fine, just had a loose sender connection internally.Got a J yard one and works flawless.Do NOT by from this manufacture. The pump was VERY noisey too.

Comments about CARQUEST Fuel Pump Sender Assembly:

The part was not oem compatible to the original part it differed in the specs for placement in the fuel tank and required extensive modification to work. I t required me to replace the item 4 different time to get the modification to fit properly to work. Very poor design compared to oem didn't spend [$] to have to take and put this item in and out 4 times and then have to modify it to work like the original oem equipment very very disappointed if I was not a mechanic by trade the total machnic bill would have been over [$] and this is totally unacceptable

Comments about CARQUEST Fuel Pump Sender Assembly:

I have had 2 of these terrible punps and they are not reliable. They make noise right out of the box, nad the fuel senders are not accurate. The OE pumps for the jeep are generally Bosch and Walboro. I had the bosch pump in my jeep for nearly 350,000 miles till it retired. I replaced it with this Airtex assembly and it was noisy on first start. It worked however, and did so for a year and one half (1 year warranty please mind) even though the sender slowly seemed to fail to operate after the last 1/4 tank. I had no other option than Airtex to replace it with. Oddly, this pump had the same noise problem the last did. It also lasted one day, making about 178 miles before it was unable to maintain PSI even with the new WIX filter. The sender is very irratic also. Pinching the return line was no avail, and the pressure regulator was working when there was enough pressure available!! I would warn any jeep enthusist away from this pump. It has been a poor experienve 2x over. I have a degree in automotive technology, and I have been professionally employed as a Jeep technician, so I am pretty confident this probelm is being approched properly. The failure of the fuel pump on a jeep is seldom and rare. only when they get high miles and age as the OE choces were superb, and I would recomend finding OE Bosch or Walboro.
