Had to replace this pump with another of the same brand because the last one lasted exactly 2 years but only had a one year warranty.Counter guy at advance said they now have a limited life time warranty and he would give me a new one with that warranty and pay the $260 or i could get a new one and not pay anything but only get a 90 day warranty.I took the 90 day deal since i will be getting a new truck in spring anyway,Hope it lasts til then.

Comments about CARQUEST Fuel Pump Module Assembly:

This was a great value when combined with the online promotion for 30% off. My husband had it hooked up in no time and now his truck is running better then it has in a long time. We would definitely recommend this product and will use it next time we need to change it out on another vehicle. I was also happy to hear that it has a lifetime warranty and so if it was to go out then it would not cost us again. I love how easy it is to buy advanced auto parts online and then pick up in store and save. I tell everyone I know about this.

      lasted only 25K miles

Comments about CARQUEST Fuel Pump Module Assembly:

Installed this pump on my 2001 Silverado 5/2014. It only lasted 25K miles and now the gauge jumps around. I now have to replace it again cause the warranty is 1yr. A fuel pump should last more than 25K. Not made to laast.

This brand of fuel pump sucks. I have done a complete re-due of my fuel system. I'm getting ready to go through my third fuel pump. the warranty sucks. I'm now stuck with paying full price for another pump. If this company cared for their customers there would be a life time warranty. Everyone I have talked to that has bought this fuel pump has also said the same thing about this pump. Trust me do not buy this pump ever, because I know I wont be buying it anymore.

Comments about CARQUEST Fuel Pump Module Assembly:

Easy install although I had to reuse my old seal. The new seal was thicker and prevented me from locking the pump in place. Other than that everything else went smoothly and my truck runs great. Since I had a bedliner and for fear something may go wrong, I decided to cut a trap door in the bed to access the pump. Took about 10 minutes of careful cutting. Spot cut the back side and bent the plate back. From removing the bedliner to testing the new pump took less than 2 hrs.

No, Bobby! You will not need to remove the strainer from the old unit. The new one will have the needed strainers included with it. It may only have an internal strainer.
