Comments about CARQUEST Fuel Accessories Replacement Fuel Tank Filler Neck:

This is the exact fit for my 1997 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 liter. I drove the car on ramps and no gas leaked out of the two hoses that connect to the steel pipes(fuel tank filler neck - one big pipe and one small pipe) when I removed the hoses from the pipes. I sprayed WD-40 to loosen the hoses from the old pipes. I saved the old hose clamps and used them for the new pipes.
I removed only two screws where you fill the gas (fuel tank door). There are four screws in that area but you don't have to remove all four because the fuel tank filler neck - steel pipe, is not removed through the fuel tank door opening. You can remove the pipe from underneath the vehicle. There is a screw with a bracket under the car that holds the pipe. The replacement part comes with the bracket welded on, but when you loosen the screw and take off the old part, just use the old screw and put it through the new bracket and attach it to the car.
I just filled my gas tank today and no gas leaked out on the ground. It's nice to be able to do some things myself and save on the labor.
